Do you want to join a great drug development team who enjoys coming to work while striving to improve the lives of patients living with obesity and other serious chronic diseases? We are looking for a talented Medical Doctor with research and/or clinical experience with a wish to work with drug development within a highly inspiring environment in the pharmaceutical industry. Apply today and join us for a life-changing career.

The position

We are a team consisting of 14 skilled Medical Doctors working with obesity projects covering clinical drug development from preclinical assessment through Phase 1-4. As our new colleague you will be involved in a great variety of tasks in close collaboration with many other skill areas. You will play a leading role in designing clinical trials including the use of digital tools, interpreting data, looking at biomarkers and different -omics, assessing risk-benefit profiles of drugs, documenting results, and supporting regulatory submissions.

The job is globally oriented, and you will be interacting with colleagues and regulatory bodies, treating physicians and therapeutic experts. You can expect travelling activity of approximately 10 days per year.

Qualifications

You are a Medical Doctor by training and have documented scientific merits as e.g., a Ph.D. degree or equivalent preferably within basic and/or clinical research. Experience with clinical development from the pharmaceutical industry or biotech industry would be appreciated but not a pre-requisite.

As a person, you have excellent collaboration and communication skills, thrive in a setting with a high level of complexity, are curious and have solid problem-solving capabilities. You are expected to give presentations internally and externally and co-author publications, so you must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Most importantly, you will be involved in meaningful work with dedicated open-minded people for an organisation that is committed to help changing serious chronic diseases. Curiosity, empathy, and a good sense of humour as well as a wish to understand yourself even better and explore personal development opportunities is very much appreciated.

About the department

In Medical & Science Obesity, we are responsible for the planning and execution of global clinical trials and for medical and scientific support to health authority interactions. We are instrumental in generating and interpreting clinical data leading to approval of new treatments within obesity, expansion of indications as well as scientific communication of the clinical data. We work in cross-functional teams and are pivotal in ensuring implementation of other important aspects of clinical development including device, digitalisation, and diagnostic development. We are also involved in identification of new targets including support to external scouting.
