Are you interested in supporting the allocation of resources to our growing Development (R&D) organisation and drive the financial management of an organisation that contribute to drug development and integrated patient solutions, turning the Novo Nordisk clinical pipeline into new medicines for patients?
The position
As an Associate Finance Partner, you will be responsible for the financial management of Submissions and Lifecycle Management including digital transformation products anchored in the digitalisation portfolio. The role entails a broad range of tasks where you will work towards the global line of business, become a member of organisational leadership teams, and provide input to business cases. You will be responsible for the financial planning and resource allocation, provide reporting to senior management, and create financial insights for decision making. In this role, you will gain a strong finance toolbox, get a deep understanding of the R&D value chain, interact with stakeholders across the organisation and get insights into the strategic priorities in R&D. Furthermore, you will be involved in various business intelligence and optimisations projects as well as prepare ad-hoc analyses for stakeholders in both the R&D organisation and in Business Finance. You will experience a steep learning curve, which enables numerous future career opportunities in the global Novo Nordisk organisation.
Qualifications
The person we are looking for preferably holds a master’s degree in business administration or economics with excellent results and is either a recent graduate or has 1-2 years’ experience. You have strong analytical skills, while good at keeping an eye for the overall purpose. You can communicate clearly and precisely with people at all levels in the organisation and you have good collaboration skills. The atmosphere in R&D Finance is informal and builds on a strong team spirit, so if you are ready to invest time and effort in your development, while you hold on to your good sense of humour, you are the kind of person we are looking for.
About the department
R&D Finance is part of Novo Nordisk Business Finance and is responsible for the financial management of the R&D organisation and projects in our R&D pipeline. In R&D Finance you will be part of a young and ambitious team consisting of 20 dedicated employees in Denmark, supported by colleagues from Global Business Services in India. Our overall ambition is to create impact through Finance Partnering to our stakeholders by combining strong financial competencies with a solid understanding of the business in which we operate. To do this, we collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation. We invest significant resources in developing our employees through close sparring, frequent feedback and by giving inspiring tasks and a high degree of responsibility.
