Let’s talk about the role As our System Architect in Business Process Management, you will have a key role defining the architectural vision of our products’ portfolio, whose solutions are built on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). Our overall aim is to standardise manufacturing-related processes across production sites and improve the process quality and efficiency by means of digitalisation. Your focus will be defining the right architecture for our solutions, such as where the logic should be stored, how applications should be built to be fully testable with automation testing or resolving the technical debt and potentially refactoring the applications for scalability. Your primary responsibilities include: Participate in solution definition and oversee the overall architecture of the solutions, ensuring that they have the right design, utilise the right frameworks, services, components, and data flows, and incorporate built-in quality Set the direction on non-functional requirements such as solutions’ scalability, performance, and security, and ensure they are implemented accordingly Streamline data flows from the frontend (UI5) to the backend (CAP, DB, CPI, gateway/SAP ECC, SAP ECC, SAP GBT and SAP ATTP) Ensure that the SAP BTP platform, its services, and applications are configured correctly and have the required certificates all along the lifecycle Improve the release process Support architectural experiments to validate architectural ideas and foster learning among the delivery team Mentor the development team on best practices on architecture, implementation, and automated testing Collaborate with people managers to ensure the architectural vision can be realized with the current skills in the development team and will suggest the most appropriate way to foster those skills, when needed Support people managers in resource allocation to make sure the right technical and functional skills are allocated to the right solution You will report to the Associate Manager of Business Process Management – Strategy & Transformation, which is the department where architecture design is anchored. What we scout for For this position, we hope to get a candidate on board who can tick the following requirements: Bachelor’s or a master’s degree in computer science or in other relevant field At least 10 years of demonstrated experience working in software development Experience in development of applications in SAP BTP or Cloud Foundry, which has provided you extensive knowledge on how solutions should be tight together and which can translate into best practices Experience with UI5 and SAP products (on-prem and cloud), including SAP ECC or S4/HANA Fluency in oral and written English Understanding of GxP, experience in Agile frameworks such as SAFe and using IT supporting tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps considered an advantage On a personal level, you are curious and have a natural interest in keeping yourself updated on the latest innovation trends. In addition, you can keep a bird’s-eye view, while deep diving when required. You have a flair for mentoring colleagues along with good persuasion skills. The team waiting for you You will join Digital, Data & IT (DD&IT), which is the organisation unit that supports digital transformation and innovation in all parts of the Novo Nordisk value chain -from idea to patient. Our area is anchored in DD&IT Product Supply, which supports PS, the largest organisational unit with over 20.000 employees globally, and which is responsible for the manufacturing and supply chain of all Novo Nordisk products.
