The Position

As Associate Manager you will be the operational leader for 17 technicians and professionals. Core task for the team is timely handling of stability and reference samples (receival/shipment), protocols, reports, complaints handling etc. - in parallel work on various other tasks such as equipment, problem solving, improvements, questions from authorities etc.

You will naturally lead by example and drive performance by being a highly visible manager who provides guidance and coaching to your employees. You rely on daily resource planning, robust work standards and you set clear expectations, due process confirmations and coaching to support your employees.

You will collaborate closely with our department management team and act as one united function securing success of the entire department. The position offers great opportunities for personal and professional development, your responsibilities will be diverse and reach beyond the department as result of your collaboration with other associate managers in BRD.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • A relevant education within Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy or similar.

  • At least a few years of managing under your belt, either as team leader or heading complex projects.

  • Knowledge about pharma operations and have natural preference for a systematic approach to resource planning, making good work standards and proactive take the required measures to secure a smooth workflow.

  • English and Danish communication skills are required.

By nature, you have a positive attitude, you prioritize involvement, knowledge sharing and appreciation.

About the Department

Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) in Gentofte is part of Novo Nordisk, which delivers products for the treatment of rare blood and endocrine disorders. BRD QC consist of five departments and handles Quality Control (QC) analysis supporting our production facilities. Our department's area of responsibility is microbiological analysis and handling of stability and reference samples.

We are approximately 75 motivated and talented colleagues divided into our stability team and three operational QC teams. Your new department is characterized by high professionalism, quality mindset and an informal tone.
