You will be part of a great team with more than 10 dedicated and skilled colleagues consisting of scientists with expertise in areas, such as, raw materials, process equipment and process modelling. However, you should also expect to work closely with colleagues from other teams and departments. Our primary focus is to support the development and production of oral solid dosage forms (OSDs). In this job, you will be an instrumental part together with our scientists in establishing Materials Science as a field of its own within Oral Product Development. The aim is to accelerate the development of new drug products as well as support the production of existing products on the market. Your job will include testing of, e.g., raw materials in lab-scale to set the requirements for the specifications towards raw materials and equipment suppliers. Furthermore, you will be involved in the development of test strategies and development of small-scale powder characterization methods to measure, e.g., powder flow and compaction properties, to increase our knowledge about our raw materials, intermediates and their impact on the drug product process and quality. Primary tasks Development and implementation of a state-of-the art powder characterization laboratory including relevant techniques Plan and execute powder characterization tests in the laboratory Problem-solving in relation to process and quality challenges during process development or in the production Qualifications
To master this role, you will need to combine your process and drug product understanding with hands on experience from powder characterization. To succeed, you must: hold a degree as AP Graduate in Nutrition and Technology, Laboratory Technician or similar education have at least 5 years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry or academia, e.g., product development be fluent in English and Danish It will be seen as a big advantage if you have previous experience with Materials Science as well as state-of-the-art powder characterization for oral solid dosage forms, e.g., compaction simulation, powder flow testing and permeability testing as well as LIMS. Ideally, you have also previously established a laboratory including new methods from scratch. On a personal level, you possess great collaboration skills, are structured, have a natural sense of priority and not afraid of being a pioneer. Product Development & Launch employs approximately 100 highly skilled and motivated employees with the missions to bring oral solid dosage forms from early development to market production, optimize the processes and products, support the production sites, document the stability for the products and build up the documentation for authorities for new products and for marketed products. The department consists of three process development teams, two process analytical technology (PAT) teams, and a stability and specification team.
