The Position As a Data Privacy Specialist, you will be entrusted with a wide array of responsibilities that span our organization, engaging with diverse stakeholders both locally and globally. Your role as a proactive partner will require analytical prowess and exceptional communication skills to distill complex concepts into clear, actionable insights for various stakeholders.
You will be expected to operate both at a strategic level and in a hands-on capacity, collaborating closely with the Novo Nordisk Business Ethics Compliance Office, Data Ethics & Privacy advisors, and Global Legal teams. Key responsibilities include: Advising on data privacy and to some extent AI matters to support our R&D initiatives Developing and implementing data privacy policies and procedures Conducting compliance risk assessments and reviews Providing training and awareness programs on data privacy and AI Monitoring and ensuring adherence to relevant data privacy regulations and standards You will report to the Director for R&D Data Privacy & AI.
Qualifications The ideal candidate has a relevant master’s degree (e.g. within law, commercial law, IT, or science) and has a minimum 7 years of experience within data privacy compliance combined with: The ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new situations in a constantly changing environment. Skilled analytically and structured in ways of working Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills The ability to collaborate within the team and across different functions The ability to positively contribute to the work environment A global and proactive mindset Tech savvy and fluent in English It will be an advantage if you have experience from working within an R&D setting or you have a strong insight into R&D from either a pharmaceutical company, the public sector or an NGO. About the Department At the R&D Data Privacy & AI Compliance, we are a dedicated team specializing in Data Privacy & AI compliance. Our mission is to govern and operationalize both internal and external compliance requirements, ensuring that our global R&D organization effectively mitigates compliance risks. We pride ourselves on our collaborative environment, where knowledge sharing, mutual support, and a shared sense of enjoyment make every workday fulfilling and productive. The team is part of our R&D compliance department for Business ethics & data privacy.
