Category Manager - Packaging Supply

Then you might be the Category Manager for Packaging Supply, that Novo Nordisk Pharmatech is looking for to join the Inbound Supply Team. The position As Category Manager - Packaging Supply, your role is setting up, overseeing and developing the supply of packaging materials to safeguard the reliability of the inbound supply chain. This entails continuously improving processes, transparency, KPIs, communication, risk analysis, supplier evaluations, SAP settings etc. You will proactively balance service levels versus stock levels in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders including Sales, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Development, Warehousing, QC, QA, Process Support, Business Support along with several departments at Novo Nordisk e.g. Warehousing and Strategic Sourcing. Once you are onboarded, you will take on the responsibility to

Develop the packaging category strategy to ensure an efficient, compliant, flexible, yet robust incoming flow.

Enhance performance by developing and implementing concepts for risk management, inventory management and supplier evaluations.

Drive and develop the inbound supply setup of existing and new packaging materials including GMP compliant packaging documentation from local and global suppliers.

This includes, among other the following tasks

Cultivating robust relationships and nurturing collaboration externally as well as internally

Negotiating contractual terms, long term forecasts and order sizes

Participating in various projects representing the supplier angle e.g. products launches, supply process optimization, facility upgrades

Smoothly and compliantly resolving sudden inbound supply irregularities

Providing input, and on some occasions, driving the input for packaging deviations, supplier notifications, change controls and audits

You should expect occasional international travel to visit suppliers, exhibitions, and fairs. Qualifications To be successful in this role, we imagine you

Hold a master’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, business administration, procurement, manufacturing, or a related field

Have a minimum of 3 years of pertinent work experience in supplier management, supply chain management and/or production – preferably GXP regulated

Possess a strong drive and enjoy setting direction, prioritizing tasks, and improving supply planning

Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills, along with experience in process optimization and LEAN tools

Exhibite fluency in both written and spoken English

The Inbound Supply team is part of the Supply Chain and Procurement department covering likewise Warehousing, indirect procurement and S&OP. You will work with 9 Inbound Supply colleagues, that are responsible for all raw materials, process aids and packaging for the production as well as CMO management and the implementation of new materials and suppliers.
