The position The Senior Director Digital Transformation Strategy & Partnerships will build a team to set the strategic direction ensuring Development’s long-term success with leveraging digital platforms & products to drive business value and entering & managing the strategic partnerships. The key accountabilities of this role are to: Build and lead a multifunctional team
  • Identify, hire, onboard & develop world-class talent to take on responsibility for Digital Transformation Strategy & External Trends and Strategic Partnerships & Vendor Management

  • Champion a culture of curiosity, empowerment, and passion for impact

  • Manage their team in accordance with Novo Nordisk's principles, as well as adhering to health and safety guidelines

  • Define and embed new functions in the existing organization:
  • Map the current process and stakeholder landscape relevant to the new functions, define & align their deliverables & operating models top down and manage adoption of the necessary changes with the key partners

  • Define the Digital Transformation Strategy & staying on top of External Trends:
  • Define, align, and monitor the execution of Development’s Digital Transformation Strategy, continuously updating it and staying on top of and incorporating external trends (pharma & non-pharma)

  • Continuously challenge the status quo of our digital transformation activities, taking an out-side-in perspective to future proof our efforts

  • Strategic Partnerships & Vendor Management:
  • Identify & represent Development towards key external partners (specifically Veeva), seek to drive mutually beneficial collaboration and ensure the full, x-EVP area exposure of NN is lever-aged in negotiations

  • Ensure contracts of key vendors are tightly management with regards to both NN & vendor deliverables and leverage learnings to advise on future contract negotiations

  • In this position, you'll be expected to work independently, following Novo Nordisk's Standard Operating Procedures and Quality framework, while also aligning with the company's development strategy. Qualifications
    To thrive in this role, you have:
  • Master’s degree in computer science or IT Engineering – potentially in combination with business administration communications or similar

  • Track record of building & developing high performing teams, instilling a culture of curiosity, empowerment, and impact focus

  • 8+ years of experience from the pharmaceutical or biotech industry

  • Strong background within developing and challenging strategies as well as driving cross-functional projects and initiatives

  • Managed Strategic Partnerships and / or vendors

  • Led digital transformation and / or digital product management

About the department The Digital Transformation area in Development is a newly created CVP-area of app. 30 people setting strategic direction, coordinating, catalysing, and governing our Digital Transformation across the Development organisation. In collaboration with digital teams in SVP areas across Development, we identify new opportunities for utilising data and digital solutions for the benefit of patients as well as our organisation.
