Opportunity
Has responsibility and accountability for the governance of Maersk
Line’s product and charge portfolio in accordance with the product and
charge governance processes and frameworks.The Program Manager Officer in Contract Logistics oversees strategic projects that pertain to the development of Contract logistics products (both Warehousing and Depots) from the product conception, the definition of product and process requirements, the tech solutioning, to the testing and final roll-out. He/she responsible E2E for the delivery of an outcome, ensuring progress are made according to an agreed roadmap, removing or escalating potential blockers and providing recurrent updates on status and next steps to senior leadership.
Key accountability and responsibilities
Methodology
- Create program/project plans, secure commitments, identify risks and mitigations
- Co-develop overall change management methodology (with Ops change lead)
- Collaborate across organizations (Product owners, Process Owners, Platform owners, Technology, Finance) and be the linchpin for successful delivery of technologies
- Report on the status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to senior leadership
- Use own initiative to think long term, develop strategy, and conceptualize strategic programs aligned to the business vision and priorities. Proactively identify solutions to meet business objectives, considering the implications of change on the organization and all stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics
- Own all operational metrics and support for the programs
- Support the methodology with a practical and user-friendly toolbox that can be easily adopted from other project, program peers and contract logistics community for large, medium and small projects
User feed-back
- Ensure Product, Process, Technology and operations teams are kept in the loop on project feedback, successes and failures – ensure to cater for direct feedback where possible, minimize communication layers to avoid noise – both from internal and external users.
- Provide inputs to the backlog owned by Product, Process, Technology and operation teams for the next releases
- Set up a way for the teams to measure adoption and compliance of the system and process as per design, in alignment with change management
Operational Engagement
- Be actively involved on the selection and on-boarding journey for pilots & roll-outs
- Support and coach the operational, technical and Implementation Managers, leading the implementation of new product and technical roll outs
- Engage with operations, product and other stakeholders to ensure methodology is in line with their expectations
- Complement the change management methodology with a commercial storyline to be used in operational & customer pursuits
Growth
- Ensure the successful implementation lays the foundation for contract logistics (CL) growth
Required experience & skills
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in logistics and supply chain management industry
- Proven experience in large scale project management involving significant business change
- Track record on operational projects
- Advanced proficiency in project management tools including related systems/software
- Solid understanding of logistics and supply chain processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including experience with training others
- Passion, initiative and drive to continuously develop and work with creativity and innovation
- Result oriented and able to work independently as well as motivate a team
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Roll-up sleeves attitude with bias on getting things done,
- Very organized and comfortable with high level of ambiguity
