The position
As International Medical Director, you will utilise your analytical skills and research experience to bring forward novel innovative therapies within cardiovascular disease failure, by driving novel trial designs and your clinical experience to support ongoing development of innovative treatment options that will make a difference for patients.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Although based in the Copenhagen area, the position is globally oriented and with close interaction with colleagues in regional offices as well as external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, treating physicians and therapeutic experts.
Qualifications
On a professional level, you have a strategic, analytical, and problem-solving mindset and thrive working in an environment which has high level of complexity. The opportunity requires a high degree of independence and team spirit as many decisions have business impact. Therefore, great communication and flexibility is required due to managing different tasks whilst collaborating and building relations with different stakeholders. For this position, you are required to be proficiency in written and spoken English.

Medical & Science, Other Serious Chronic Diseases (OSCD) and Outcomes is part of Global Development located in Søborg, Copenhagen, Denmark and are driving our expanding portfolio within other serious chronic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, chronic kidney disease and Alzheimer’s Disease and executing large outcomes trials.
We are medically responsible for global clinical development programmes and our responsibilities include planning and execution of clinical trials (phase 1-4) and non-interventional studies, medical and scientific support to health authority interactions, publications, presentations and more.

The position
As International Medical Director, you will utilise your analytical skills and research experience to bring forward novel innovative therapies within cardiovascular disease failure, by driving novel trial designs and your clinical experience to support ongoing development of innovative treatment options that will make a difference for patients.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Navigating the many interdependencies of clinical drug development at a global scale, evaluating competing priorities and risks while facilitating clear communication and decision-making.
- Analyse and communicate data which can be used to design trials.
- Ensure medically sound regulatory interactions as well as driving learnings one step further into implementation and simple execution.
- Provide presentation internally, externally and co-author publications.
Although based in the Copenhagen area, the position is globally oriented and with close interaction with colleagues in regional offices as well as external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, treating physicians and therapeutic experts.
Qualifications
- University degree as a Medical Doctor and have clinical practice experience.
- Documented research experience such as a PhD and/or clinical development experience including (co)-investigator in clinical trials or relevant. experience with clinical drug development from the Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry.
- Interest and experience within cardiovascular disease (clinical, research or drug development).
- Strong coordination/planning and collaborative capabilities.
- A flair for building and using both internal and external network(s) and share learnings actively within a project and department.
