The position
You will join the Biostatistics HTA Team within the global Biostatistics organisation. Together with other 5 highly motivated specialists, you will help ensure that statistical expertise is leveraged to address the increasing evidence requirements for market and patient access to our innovations. The Biostatistics HTA Team operates across our full portfolio of treatments and interfaces with many different parts of the organisation, including affiliates and external collaborators. This means that your strategic mindset and ability to build successful long-term partnerships with diverse stakeholders will be crucial in this position.

Your key focus will be in Other Serious Chronic Disease, specifically Alzheimer’s disease, which is a growing area within Novo Nordisk. We have recently initiated phase 3 clinical trials investigating semaglutide for treatment of early Alzheimer’s disease, and you will play a key role in the statistical efforts to ensure that we have the right evidence, at the right time in order to ensure market and patient access.

In your daily work, you will collaborate with health economists, market access specialists, clinical experts, and other statisticians, providing expert statistical input to address HTA and payer evidence needs in different markets. You will drive the implementation of advanced statistical methods for e.g. indirect treatment comparisons and act as a mentor for less experienced statisticians. You will also be collaborating with external vendors on the handling of network meta analyses and cost-effectiveness analyses.

Qualifications

As a minimum, you meet the following requirements:

  • MSc in Statistics (or similar theoretical background – please qualify in application)
  • 5+ years of experience within clinical or biostatistical research
  • In-depth knowledge of drug development and pharmaceutical industry understanding
  • Broad experience with statistical software and IT and in-depth experience with at least one statistical software package e.g. R

It will be a strong advantage if you have a PhD in Statistics (or other relevant area) and have prior experience with HTA and market access.

Finally, you are able to combine your quality mindset and statistical expertise with pragmatism and a business value mindset.

The Biostatistics HTA Team is a hybrid team, with a mix of in-office and home-based specialists. For the right candidate, we offer the opportunity to work mostly homebased from European locations.
