Let’s talk about the role
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the shared infrastructure used across our services and platforms, including identity infrastructure, network, and interconnectivity of services.
Using AWS, Azure, and custom tools, you’ll work closely with multiple products and engineering teams to build sustainable cloud infrastructure solutions to support our data lake, data mesh , and data science platforms.

The position is based at our site in Bagsværd, greater Copenhagen, Denmark. Since you will be working in a global environment, you must expect some meetings to take place outside Danish working hours and some travel activities .

We do data acquisition and ingestion , data analysis , and data engineering , evangelising the use of data and advanced analytics and supporting data science users of our platform. We are cloud - native , and we work primarily on AWS. We deliver solutions using Scrum methodology. We have built and are operating the enterprise data lake, data mesh , and data science platform on AWS to support our vision of delivering world - class data management.
The overarching goal is to use data to gain new understandings and insights, drive optimisations , and create value for Novo Nordisk and the patients we serve. We #BringDataToLife

Let’s talk about the role
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the shared infrastructure used across our services and platforms, including identity infrastructure, network, and interconnectivity of services.
Using AWS, Azure, and custom tools, you’ll work closely with multiple products and engineering teams to build sustainable cloud infrastructure solutions to support our data lake, data mesh , and data science platforms.
Your tasks will include:
- Developing, owning, and managing the identified infrastructure required for the services and platforms used in our department
- Designing and implementing scalable and secure cross-account network infrastructure that will allow highly distributed workloads to remain seamlessly connected while providing the highest level of security for the traffic.
- Building and developing cloud infrastructure management solutions, predominantly using AWS tools and behaviour -driven design principles to ensure that quality, security, and GxP compliance are early and natural design considerations in our solutions
- Controlling the internal DNS and certificate landscape
- Implementing zero trust philosophy into our systems
Furthermore, you will:
- Evangelise for strong identity management principles, including leading design sessions and providing technical guidance to leadership
- Coach and share knowledge with your colleagues through demos, co-development, and sparring, ensuring that expertise is spread across the team to enable collaborative ways of working .
- Continuously develop your professional knowledge and skills through participation in external industry events such as seminars, conferences, and publishing activities.

What we are looking for
We’re looking for someone who can tick off most of the following topics as part of their experience/background:
- Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, software development , or a related field, with at least three years of experience working with contemporary cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
- Recent experience working with identity management systems
- Experience using networking functionality, ideally with AWS
- Experience deploying with CI/CD and working with modern build, test , and deployment tools, ideally in large organisations as an internal colleague or consultant.
- Strong programming skills, ideally using Python and/or Typescript .
- Experience working with software and tools such as Azure AD and/or Okta
- The ability to understand complex technical matters, form an educated opinion, and communicate with impact to various stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise.
- Strong drive towards collaboration; keen to share ideas and knowledge with colleagues
- Fluent in written and spoken English
