As our Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll drive operational excellence across our core platforms and products and be the principal decision - maker on reliability in collaboration with our leadership team.

The position is based at our site in Bagsværd, greater Copenhagen, Denmark. Since you will be working in a global environment, you must expect some meetings to take place outside Danish working hours and some travel activities .

Data Management & Analytics is a high - performing global department with various technical, analytical, and multinational backgrounds. We are expanding our offerings to the global organisation, so we need extra resources to succeed with our journey and ambitious vision.
We do data acquisition and ingestion , data analysis , and data engineering , evangelising the use of data and advanced analytics and supporting data science users of our platform. We are cloud - native , and we work primarily on AWS. We deliver solutions using Scrum methodology. We have built and are operating the enterprise data lake, data mesh , and data science platform on AWS to support our vision of delivering world - class data management.
The overarching goal is to use data to gain new understandings and insights, drive optimisations , and create value for Novo Nordisk and the patients we serve. We #BringDataToLife

Let’s talk about the role
As our Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll drive operational excellence across our core platforms and products and be the principal decision - maker on reliability in collaboration with our leadership team.
Your tasks will include:
- Holding responsibility for core CI/CD machinery, including automation and blueprinting
- Ensuring observability and telemetry of our systems and tools
- Owning and developing our reliability roadmap and advocating for operational excellence to be factored into early design processes and activities
- Leading incident practices and working both upstream and downstream to reduce the frequency and severity of incidents
Furthermore, you will:
- Provide technical leadership to key projects and empower and develop teams to do the same.
- Coach and share knowledge with your colleagues through demos, co-development, and sparring, ensuring that expertise is spread across the team to enable collaborative work.
- Continuously develop your professional knowledge and skills through participation in external industry events such as seminars, conferences, and publishing activities.
The position is based at our site in Bagsværd, greater Copenhagen, Denmark. Since you will be working in a global environment, you must expect some meetings to take place outside Danish working hours and some travel activities .
What we are on a look out for
We’re looking for someone who can tick off most of the following topics as part of their experience/background:
- Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, software development , or a related field, with at least five years’ experience working with contemporary cloud technologies, preferably AWS
- Experience working with CI/CD and modern build, test, and deployment tools such as ADO pipelines, GitHub Actions , or Code Pipeline
- Experience with programming languages, in particular Python and Typescript
- Experience with OpenTelemetry would be an advantage .
- The ability to understand complex technical matters, form an educated opinion, and communicate impact to various stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise.
- Strong drive towards collaboration; keen to share ideas, proposals , and knowledge with colleagues
- Fluent in written and spoken English
