The position
Your main responsibility is to be a specialist advisor within compliance and legislation on environmental matters, as well as support and drive environmental projects at our production facilities. This includes:
• Handle and report on compliance requirements for our production processes and facilities
• Support production in planning and execution of audits within the EHS area
• Drive goals to reduce our environmental footprint and advise our stakeholders
• Analyse data, communicate, and act as the managers wingman within your field
• Ensure key deliverables and implementation according to plans and follow up on achieved results
• Timely and competent EHS involvement in changes, project design, planning, execution of projects and collaborate through regular meetings to ensure continuous alignment on processes as well as continual improvements within EHS
To ensure success in your work, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels such as Management, Project managers, other EHS partners and colleagues in production. You will primarily be partner for our BRD sites in Kalundborg, being on site in Kalundborg most weekdays. Furthermore, we have a significant collaboration across BRD which can include few visits to our site in New Hampshire, US as well as other DK-sites.
You will be part of an ambitious EHS department which consist of 6 Health and Safety partners and 4 Environmental partners you will work closely with. You will report to the EHS manager in the department, but your daily work will include a high degree of independent tasks in an organisation with very high complexity.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you preferably have:
• A master’s degree within External Environment, Chemical Engineer, or other relevant education.
• 2-3 years of experience working with complex processes from a similar position is an advantage.
• You have excellent stakeholder- and project management skills with good experience in planning, presenting data, and supporting and motivate key stakeholders on different level of seniority.
• You have knowledge in processes within the pharma industry and you feel comfortable with new technologies and computer usage, as well as you are familiar with MS Office products.
• You are fluent in English, and we prefer that you can speak Danish at an average level
You have a fundamental desire to make a difference within EHS. You have high personal drive and can pursue key focus areas.
The Department
Biotech and Rare disease (BRD) EHS department is a part of the BRD Business Support unit and has its base in Gentofte. Our employees are highly valued partners for the business. We go where we are needed the most – collaborating with production and central functions.
We are appr. 30 colleagues who support the production with the important areas of Finance, Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), as well as Strategy/Communication. We bring value to patients by having the high-level overview across BRD and by supporting production within key areas with highly skilled partners to make operation run as smooth as possible in collaboration with local colleagues. We drive change by always looking for hidden potential and anticipating opportunities before they are lost and challenges before, they grow.
