We are looking for a CFD Engineer to solve flow challenges and help develop solutions for our digital twin portfolio using CFD and other simulation software. Examples of where we apply such competences include virtual smoke and airflow simulations, process, and equipment CFD optimization, mixer tanks, product flows, etc. Your task will be to support our factories and laboratories with insights to optimize decision making and generate synthetic data for digital twins.
We expect you to have an entrepreneurial mindset where you are involved in scoping the problems/opportunities, stakeholder management, developing the CFD simulations, and evaluating the output together with line of business. We also expect that you have a strong interest in building digital twin competences in our organization. We expect strong CFD competences from the beginning and that you learn digital twin tools and competences under the guidance of our Tech Lead. As a CFD Engineer, you would be part of our newly established Data & Twin Tech team, which is composed of 10 software developers and engineers. The team develops data solutions, process optimizations, simulations, and digital twins for the rest of the BRD organization.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have: • A master’s degree within Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar.
• At least 2+ years of full-time work experience in CFD and simulation tools (e.g., Siemens, Dassault, Fluent, etc.).
• Experience in applying reduced order modelling and machine learning to CFD.
• Knowledge about pharma, data analytics, process simulation and digital twins will be a plus.
• Experience with HPC clusters, scripting and macros would be a plus.
• Full professional proficiency in English. As a person, you are curious and eager to provide value to the process owners and other stakeholders by understanding our processes and how the interplay between different parts of them affect the whole. Additionally, you should be able to communicate with people from different educational backgrounds, from management to shop floor.
Furthermore, you are professional, self-engaged, and show a high degree of attention to detail. You must have a mindset of an entrepreneur, a keen eye for detail, and be able to see potential flaws while keeping deadlines. About the department
BRD Manufacturing Development & Quality Control has its base in Gentofte, Denmark. What other companies call Manufacturing Science & Analytical Technology (MSAT) we call Manufacturing Development.
