The position as Engineering Manager
We are looking for an additional engineering manager to oversee the scope of the project activities in terms of investigating design, constructability, schedule, and cost for a potential new production facility. You will be part of an Engineering Management team were collaboration and partnership are cornerstones in our way of working. The activities will be carried out at our site in Kalundborg, Novo Nordisk hub for API manufacturing. The key design principle will be to implement the best-in-class standards from other production facilities. You will be responsible for change management and overseeing that our PEM model (Project Execution Model) is used in the best possible way in the project. Your key tasks will include:
  • Facilitating design and technology discussions internally and towards engineering partners.
  • Supporting colleagues in solving complex challenges.
  • Optimising systems and equipment for the production.
  • Providing innovative, efficient, and effective solutions and systems.
  • Focus on consistency of work, cross-disciplinary quality, reviews and compliance with pharmaceutical codes and regulations.
  • Your focus is smooth transition of changes form Novo Nordisk to engineering partners and thereby support implementing known solutions as well as help developing new design solutions where relevant. You will take active part in integrating with engineering partners and collaborating with contractors while supervising their activities. You together with Senior Engineering Managers will oversee any project risks proactively and develop standards to ensure structure and transparency. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you:
  • Hold a master's or bachelor's degree probably in engineering or similar.
  • Have min. 4 years of relevant engineering experience within medical production, preferably from API production or finished products.
  • Have a solid understanding of process equipment, automation and working in a GMP regulated environments.
  • Possess profound insight into systematic problem-solving.
  • Are proficient in both written and spoken English and an are good at doing presentations.
  • You are a self-starter who thrives with driving tasks independently and seeking opportunities to take the next step in your career. You have excellent analytical, planning and organizing skills, which helps you to keep an overview of the state of progress and prioritize accordingly. With your strong logical ability, you succeed in transforming complex information from the scoping phase to execution and completion. You have the ability to network and know who to reach out to, build trust in your relationships and get commitment from internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, you have excellent communication skills with the ability to create clear and high-quality presentation materials. You are curious and eager to learn and you challenge status-quo in a respectful way to ensure that pragmatic solutions are brought forward. This will require an independent approach combined with an agile mindset and good stakeholder management skills. About the department The department is a technical department consisting of Engineering Management and Maintenance in all approximately 20 people are employed. You will be part of an Engineering Management team where collaboration and partnership are cornerstones in our way of working. The Engineering Management are owning the scope management for the different projects under the program, meaning when a change is proposed from a user, EM will make sure this change is developed, matured and lastly approved and transferred to our Engineering partner. Further we make sure that alignment across projects are done, and in as wide extend as possible uniform solutions are implemented.
