The position
As an Automation Engineer -DCS, you will:
  • secure the implementation of a DCS system and later be part of the maintenance organization. We are implementing the DCS system 800xA from ABB in all our facilities.
  • review documentation and be part of testing the solutions.
  • work closely with our production area, our external partners, and with the different IT and automation teams across our entire organization.
  • help ensure that the DCS system is integrated with other systems, e.g., PLC, MES, PI Historian, and with several types of instruments.
  • be part of a project of great strategic importance to Novo Nordisk with high visibility and support from Senior Management. At the same time, you will have a foot inside Novo Nordisk’s IT organization which supports all major expansion projects as well as operations.

  • You will be located in Kalundborg, in close proximity to the manufacturing sites. As a lot of our collaboration partners work around Copenhagen, it is expected that you will also occasionally work in those locations.

    Qualifications
    We are looking for an ambitious and proactive colleague who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in most of the following skills and experiences:
  • You hold an M.Sc. or B.Sc. within IT, Engineering, or have other relevant experience from recent job(s)
  • 2-5+ years of professional experience within IT Automation; either from operations and maintenance, or from project participation
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and requirements
  • Experience within the Pharma industry or other highly regulated industry (GMP) is preferred
  • Experience with the DCS system 800xA from ABB is preferred
  • Ideally, you have worked closely with vendors before

You thrive in a multicultural environment and have good communication skills written and orally in English.

    The IT and Automation Department is a diverse team made up of individuals with a variety of nationalities and professional experiences. The team atmosphere is very inclusive, and the team members support each other in getting acclimated to Novo Nordisk and life in Kalundborg. You will find the team inviting and collaborative in finding solutions and supporting each other’s tasks.
