Novo Nordisk Pharmatech is looking for a chemist to support development of new and existing resins for customised purification. You will be part of our growing Manufacturing Development department. As a Development Scientist, you can explore a variety of activities within your job. You will design and conduct experiments to develop and troubleshoot on our resin products, and together with your colleagues handle our portfolio of resins for both existing and new products. You will work independently and collaborate cross-functionally across our entire organisation.
You will have a chance to:Take responsibility for development and technology transfer activities related to existing and new resin products from laboratory to large-scale manufacturing. Conduct relevant studies in our R&D laboratory, supporting process optimization and innovation. Stay updated on the newest technology within organic chemistry, particle analysis and application of resins large-scale purification processes. Collaborate with stakeholders in production, support, supply chain, EHS and our customers to gather essential information. Plan and conduct experiments by yourself in the laboratory and together with our laboratory technicians. Support the construction of our new production facility in Køge with chemical knowledge, sparing and hands-on experiments. You are an experienced scientist with several years of experience in organic chemistry, chemical synthesis or solid phase synthesis from academia or pharma industry. Experience with manufacturing development and process development is an advantage.Some of the qualities we look for are:Minimum a M.Sc. or PhD in Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, or another relevant field within Natural Science. Experience within organic chemistry, chemical synthesis or solid phase synthesis. Experience working with resins (Silica or Polymeric) or small drug molecules is an advantage. Hands-on experience in chromatography is an advantage. Hands-on experience with working in the laboratory and a drive to do experiments yourself. You are skilled at translating your ideas into hands-on experimentation to drive and develop processes. Fluency in both spoken and written English and willingness to learn Danish. As a person, we imagine that you are a proactive team player, good at building relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Your communication skills allow you to effectively convey complex technical matters to stakeholders of diverse backgrounds. You excel at evaluating issues and developing creative and effective solutions. Your curiosity, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving approach contribute to your success. The Manufacturing Development department at Novo Nordisk Pharmatech comprises of 38 dedicated employees across three teams. As a Development Scientist, you will be part of a team of 15 scientists and specialists focused on developing and supplying novel materials for therapeutic protein manufacturing in the biopharmaceutical industry. We collaborate closely with our customers to create optimal purification solutions for both new and existing molecules, catering to a wide range of medical conditions.
