One of the key ways we will achieve this goal is through mergers and acquisitions (M&A), where our Technology group plays a pivotal role.
Maersk Technology wants to strengthen and expand our Technology M&A Team to meet the demands of both current and future acquisitions. We are looking for a Senior M&A Technology Consultant with a proven track record of in-depth M&A integration experience and M&A program management leadership.
You will work closely with the Corporate Development Teams, Integration Management Offices (IMO), external stakeholders and with our standing tech organization to help design and implement the necessary requirements to support business initiatives, integration efforts and delivery of synergy targets. The incumbent may be required to manage several M&A transactions at once and teaching others M&A best practices will be a consistent part of your week. Your direct participation & involvement will involve all phases of the M&A life cycle from pre-due diligence, through post-merger integration and finally with hand off to the standing business teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Play an active role in large, complex regional & global projects throughout the M&A life cycle; including due diligence, requirements definition, planning, development, testing, training, operational readiness, change management and ongoing support.
• Lead the mobilization of functional teams and work closely with Corp Dev, our Technology teams, Regional leadership and IMO participants to design the target operating model, integration plan, and handover to business-as-usual teams
• Identify risks and take ownership for developing mitigation plans
• Bring program management, including cross-functional collaboration, schedule development/management, risk management and status reporting to each integration effort
• Advance corporate knowledge and document lessons learned through continued buildout of integration playbook and associated artifacts
• Leading resource, technical design and solution defining discussions within the project team
• Establish effective relationships with key stakeholders in other Maersk Technology teams as well as those within the acquired company’s Tech organisation
• Where necessary, directly manage Tech stakeholders to ensure that deliverables are met on time and within budget
• Upon completion of integration activities, transition ongoing support and responsibility to Business as Usual (BAU) teams
We are Looking for
• At least 5 years M&A integration experience & programme management.
• M&A Certification and continuing education commitment is preferred (M&A Leadership Council, Pritchett, etc)
• M&A Technology leadership, focus and experience is highly valued
• Practical knowledge and understanding of the M&A lifecycle
• Ability to prioritize workstream efforts and move quickly and decisively between competing tasks
• Ability to thrive in fast paced and quickly changing environment with multiple stakeholders
• Bringing a collaborative, supportive and solution focused approach to all situations
• Experience with complex problem solving, delivering insight and providing recommendations
• Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management and presentation skills
• A proven track record of: PMO & IMO Leadership, Strategic & Operational Planning, Change Management Leadership Process Optimization & Program Management
