The position – 14 month maternity cover The maternity cover position is new to support increased workload with the possibility of full-time employment afterwards. You will directly report to and act as a close sparring partner to the EA and Head of Sustainability team in Development, while working with various stakeholders across Development and Novo Nordisk. In this position, you will: Define, plan, and execute on strategic priorities in the sustainable business aspiration for the Development EVP area and in alignment with other business priorities Drive and update the sustainability strategy process to incorporate it into existing strategy processes and ensure key milestones are implemented Act as a project manager through conceptualization, execution, and evaluation, with a rich stakeholder landscape around you, to identify and design solutions for sustainability integration into product development and activities during clinical development phases. Prospect to work directly with senior leadership teams and use your experience in change management when engaging stakeholders to build trusting, collaborative relationships. Be a go-to person on sustainability sparring in Development, keep up to date with latest research and best practices to drive ESG/sustainability. Finally, you will help secure a common understanding of environmental and social sustainability across Development through presentations, trainings, and communication material, and hereby drive a cultural change in the EVP area. By being proactive, creative, and hungry for more, you can shape this position. Qualifications As the ideal candidate, you have… A master’s degree and a strong understanding of and a keen interest in the sustainable business agenda Strong project management skills with a proven track record Good pharmaceutical business understanding – 3-5 years working in international/corporate context Ability to turn complex issues into simple solutions Solid experience in presenting, communicating, persuading, and negotiating Fluency in written and spoken English Excellent skills in MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Teams, and preferably a flair for Visual Design) will be an added advantage. On a personal level, you are pro-active with a high drive and can-do attitude. Your stakeholder management skills are great, and you take pride in delivering high quality strategic material at senior management level. You possess an innovative mindset and flexible attitude and are ready to work in an exciting environment close to the senior management in Development, where priorities are balanced persistently. Finally, you can work independently but also as a strong team player possessing a good sense of humour. About the area and team In Novo Nordisk, the Development EVP area is at the heart of the pharmaceutical value chain. We tie together the organisation, translating drug discoveries into medicines for people while at the same time working with the commercial organisation to bring new products to those who have unmet medical needs. The Sustainability team is anchored in the Development Sustainable Business department, together with Diversity & Inclusion and Executive Communications. We are small teams rich in collaborations and social activities, who work closely together to analyse, strategize, and realise behavioural change across Development. In close collaboration with other functional areas in line of business, the Sustainability team is responsible for driving the social and environmental sustainability agenda across the whole EVP area. We initiate impactful strategic projects, and anchor and support these projects correctly in the line of business.
