Therefore, are we looking for a strong Lead Software Architect, who can play a key role in this transformation.
With a direct reference to our Head of Solution Architecture, you will become a part of our Solution Architect team consisting of 10 dedicated and highly-skilled colleagues. Together we are responsible for developing IT architecture suited for our customers’ needs. We strive to set the technical agenda in Kamstrup, why we work with some of the newest technologies.
A job with focus on architecture and new technologies
In the role as Lead Software Architect, your main responsibility will be to design and develop both new customer solutions as well as evolving our core platforms. You will be involved in the full design life cycle from idea to the final adaptation. This includes assessing and applying new technologies and tools in order to implement a future-proof software platform. Furthermore, you will create new features in close collaboration with Product Management and development teams. As a Lead Software Architect, you will also play a central role in developing our organization towards continuous delivery and DevOps, and you will use your strong take on code quality, best practices, patterns etc. to relentlessly drive an improvement in code quality, developer experience and efficiency.
More specifically your tasks will be to:
Personality matters
We are looking for an ambitious and competent Lead Software Architect with a drive and a pioneering attitude. Moreover, you have a professional background in Engineering, Computer Science or similar and at least 5 years of experience from a similar role. We work with C#, Kafka, .Net Core, SQL, Kubernetes, containers and continuous delivery why expertise in one or more is a strong advantage.
As a person you are driven by a desire to make a change and you are not afraid of taking the lead. Furthermore, you are good at stakeholder management why you manage to motivate others to follow you. You are good at communication which enables you to bridge technical solutions with customers’ needs. Lastly, you have a natural authority by virtue of your skills and experience, but you also understand that good solutions are created in daily cooperation with your colleagues.
You are fluent in English both written and oral.

- Drive a continuous development and adaptation of the architectural vision for Kamstrup’s software solutions together with other Architects and Product Management
- Take lead on discussions regarding architectural abstractions, frameworks etc.
- Ensure a continuous improvement agenda in terms of automizing tasks and improve software architecture to support efficient development of common tasks
- Coaching and educating developers on coding practices, patterns, way-of-working etc.
- Act as sparring partner for other Software Architects
