The position
You will join a dynamic area preparing for taking in more exciting development projects to raise the capacity for the supply of the oral portfolio. The department - Chemistry Pilot Plant – has approximately 40 colleagues, and you will lead a team of 13 employees (5 scientists and 8 technicians). The team is preparing, conducting, and reporting API production campaigns in close collaboration with the development area. Furthermore, we are working diligently with digitalization and automation in our facilities and workflows.
As an Associate Manager your key responsibilities will include:
You will be a part of the leadership team of Chemistry Pilot Plant, consisting of three Associate Managers, an Assistant and a Director.

About the department
The position is in the department Chemistry Pilot Plant and is part of Chemistry Manufacturing and Control (CMC) API Pilots. CMC API Pilots is a part of the R&D organization, that manufactures and controls new drug substance candidates for the development portfolio at Novo Nordisk.
Chemistry Pilot Plant is a department that works with processes within organic chemistry, solid phase peptide chemistry and chemical modification of peptides and proteins, for use in clinical and non-clinical trials, hence we are working in accordance with GMP regulations. The department also consists of a team responsible for purification and spray drying of the final API and a support team responsible for i.e. equipment validation. While we need to ensure efficient production capacity, we also have an eye on the future, making sure that we utilize the opportunities technology provides, i.e. automation.

- Set a clear direction for your team, coaching, and motivating your employees
- Be visible and easy to approach onsite, while assuring you deliver the best results
- Communicate clearly and effectively both with your team and with your stakeholders across the organisation (i.e. QA and the development area)
You will be a part of the leadership team of Chemistry Pilot Plant, consisting of three Associate Managers, an Assistant and a Director.
In this job, you will have opportunities to grow personally and professionally by developing your leadership competencies in a pilot production area. Furthermore, you can look forward to exciting projects covering new technology, and digitalization as well as being involved in various investment initiatives and projects.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you have:
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in science/technology, biochemical/chemical engineering, pharmacy, or other relevant fields.
- Several years of experience in people management, ideally within a development or GMP-production environment working with organic chemistry.
- Have a proficiency in Danish, both written and spoken
