The position
As Principal Clinical Pharmacology Specialist, you will be responsible for leading clinical pharmacology programmes and providing the clinical pharmacology strategy for early and late-stage development projects within Obesity & NASH. We focus on new innovative technologies such as RNA interference as well as monoclonal antibodies, proteins, and peptides and oral administration of peptides.

You have a M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences, complemented by a Ph.D.

About the department
The Clinical Pharmacology department is responsible for development projects within Obesity, NASH, and Cardiovascular Disease. Clinical Pharmacology plays a key role in the development of new drugs at Novo Nordisk – driving the process of getting new medicine out to our patients.
We are a department of dedicated and highly engaged colleagues working in a flexible, collaborative, and cross-functional setting. We work as an integrated part of development and research project teams, being scientifically responsible for the planning and execution of Clinical Pharmacology trials. We provide clinical pharmacology expertise to all clinical development phases, Health Authority interactions and regulatory submissions worldwide.

The position
As Principal Clinical Pharmacology Specialist, you will be responsible for leading clinical pharmacology programmes and providing the clinical pharmacology strategy for early and late-stage development projects within Obesity & NASH. We focus on new innovative technologies such as RNA interference as well as monoclonal antibodies, proteins, and peptides and oral administration of peptides.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Scientifically responsible for trial protocols, contact to investigator, and interpretation and reporting of trial results.
- Interaction with Health Authorities.
- Clinical pharmacology summaries for the clinical pharmacology parts of a submission dossier and to provide clinical pharmacology input to secure approvals of new drugs.
- Drive and coordinate scientific input in the Novo Nordisk headquarter’s clinical trial group.
- Collaborate with affiliates in different countries and external partners involved in the management of the clinical trials.
- Interact with many other internal and external global stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional project teams and represent Clinical Pharmacology in global project teams.
Qualifications
You have a M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences, complemented by a Ph.D.

- A strong scientific mindset combined experience with clinical drug development.
- Expert knowledge within Clinical Pharmacology in drug development.
- Experience with Health Authority interactions.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams in a global and dynamic environment.

- Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
