The position
We are on an important journey to drive change and create a solid foundation to secure reliable data-driven decision making. As a Data Engineer you will be working in a fast-paced and agile environment where we are laying the foundation to create high value and innovative data products.
You will be working on various projects, each tailored to specific business use cases that have a variety of different problem spaces within the digital and pharmaceutical domains.

You can communicate complex technical matters to a variety of stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise. The position
We are on an important journey to drive change and create a solid foundation to secure reliable data-driven decision making. As a Data Engineer you will be working in a fast-paced and agile environment where we are laying the foundation to create high value and innovative data products.
You will be working on various projects, each tailored to specific business use cases that have a variety of different problem spaces within the digital and pharmaceutical domains.
We offer you the opportunity to work with:
- Helping to drive optimization, testing and tooling to deliver stable applications and improve data quality.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders throughout the entire value chain, stretching from R&D to Sales & Marketing and in the digital network at NNPR (Data scientist, Digitalisation partners, IT/OT specialist etc.).
- Building scalable batch and streaming data processing systems.
- Using enterprise tools and other components that make up our data ecosystem.
- Maintaining and iteratively improve existing data-driven solutions in a regulated environment.
- Supporting data consumers in business intelligence with building dashboards and generating reports for critical business processes.
Qualifications
As a person you are a proactive team player that naturally builds relations to colleagues and stakeholders in the organization. You can communicate complex technical matters to a variety of stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise. Finally, you find it easy to evaluate issues and then develop solutions that are both creative and effective for our organization.
- You hold a relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree, within the field of Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration combined with additional relevant IT and business experience. Alternatively, you possess a combination of relevant work experience and other education that can serve as an alternative for an academic background
- Worked with various cloud services for storage, data ingestion, data transformation and (serverless) application development. We use both AWS and Azure.
- Familiar with SQL and databases.
- Strong programming skills, preferably in Python.
- Knowledge about data modelling and data storage techniques.
- A deep understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms.
- You care about cultural frameworks like Agile, DevOps, and DataOps.
As a person, you are:
- Comfortable with taking initiative proactively and have a strong personal drive and dedication
- Curious about the processes and people you work with, and have a burning desire to learn new things
- Able to demonstrate attention to detail and structured in your problem-solving approach
- A team player within a diverse group of colleagues with a good sense of humour
- You are a go-getter with a ‘can do’ attitude and see yourself as a fast learner with a solution and service-oriented mindset.
- Great interpersonal skills are a must since the job will include considerable interaction with stakeholders and specialists.
