The position
As a Digital Data & IT (DDIT) Category Manager you will be managing everything from smaller engagements to larger supplier contract negotiations.
Your focus area will be to support our Global IT Operations team negotiating purchases of hardware, software, and operations/services contracts.

You will be exposed to different organizational areas throughout Novo Nordisk, and the job offers frequent interactions and presentations to senior management.
Qualifications
We expect you have 3 – 5 years of experience within sourcing or procurement, but an IT sales background is also relevant. It is expected that you have the courage and knowledge to challenge our internal clients in a constructive fashion, and it is expected that you are self-driven and can create your own projects and deliver results independently.
You are comfortable using data to drive evidence-based decision-making, complete high-quality complex analyses, and draw strong recommendations. We also expect you to be curious and understand the value chain in a large organisation. Finally, you have excellent presentation skills and can communicate at all levels of the organisation.

About the department
Within this position you will become part of our IT Infrastructure and Consultancy department, where we are 9 people – 6 in Denmark and 3 in India – and we are currently facing a huge growth in both our business areas.
Our department resides within Corporate Procurement, which consists of 140 employees based in Denmark and India, and 400 people work in procurement globally. We promote a global mind-set, dedication to business partnering and a relentless focus on creating a rewarding career for our people. We invest significant resources in developing our employees through coaching, frequent feedback, formal training and by giving challenging responsibility to individuals
The Digital Data & IT (DDIT) sourcing department is within Corporate Procurement and supports the global Novo Nordisk organization. It is responsible for ensuring we help realise the Novo Nordisk Strategy where Digitalization, automation and technology is at the core of our ambition, impacting the future trends. We work based on facts, are dedicated to collaborative problem solving and take active leadership for the initiatives we are involved in.

The position
As a Digital Data & IT (DDIT) Category Manager you will be managing everything from smaller engagements to larger supplier contract negotiations.
Your focus area will be to support our Global IT Operations team negotiating purchases of hardware, software, and operations/services contracts.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Envision, develop, and execute on local and global category strategies based on supplier market insights, advanced data analytics, internal and external trends, and collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring the best cost for value (TCO) is obtained and Novo Nordisk targets are met.
- Drive complex sourcing projects – from idea, scoping, e-sourcing, (e)negotiation, to contract negotiation and implementation.
- Own customer relations – actively work to secure procurement involvement in sourcing activities, turn procurement into a trusted partner to the organization by adding value and ensuring business needs are understood and met.
- Execute on customer requests (Line of Business)
- Manage supplier relationship - including supplier segmentation and strategy development and execution of planned activities.
- Business development - engage with users in the business to develop and quantify ideas for new projects, substitution, or value-adding activities that generate benefits and savings to the organization.

Qualifications
We expect you have 3 – 5 years of experience within sourcing or procurement, but an IT sales background is also relevant. Further qualifications:
- Master's Degree in, e.g. Business Administration, Chemistry, Engineering, Economics, Law, Supply Chain Management or similar with excellent results complemented with 3+ years of relevant experience working with, e.g., procurement project management, sourcing, category management, supply chain, or business development
- Alternatively, you possess a Bachelor Degree or equivalent combined with relevant work experience within, e.g., procurement, sourcing, category management, sales, supply chain, or business development
- Strong sourcing toolbox and excellent execution skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills to help drive change management in a diverse customer landscape.
- Experience within Project Management is an advantage.
- Understanding and professional experience with Procurement Contracts for subcontracted services.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in Digital, Data and IT sourcing will be an advantage.
