We are looking for a data engineering rockstar to join what might be the most amazing Insights Solutions Team in all the northern hemisphere (in our own humble opinion). We work in an agile setup mixing different competencies across the analytics and reporting ecosystems into one cross-geographical team. The position is based in Bagsværd close to Copenhagen, Denmark.
The position
As a Data Engineer, your primary focus will be designing, building, and implementing scalable data products on our global data platform together with other smart colleagues and to secure ownership and stability of the products.
In the job you will:
We are on a journey from not having many and stable data self-service products in different environments towards a data self-service strategy enabling users to get access to insights and findings from different data sources. We are a SuccessFactors/SAP company, but also use platforms like ServiceNow, Informatica and various BI tools.

Our focus in HR Digital, Data & IT is to drive digitalisation of HR services in close partnership with Global P&O. We are a global team that includes approx. 70 employees based in Denmark, India and the US. Our department is anchored within DD&IT and team members are placed closely to HR teams for optimal collaboration and hands-on business support. We work agile to efficiently support Global P&O’s digital journey and keep a focus on value creation and continuous learning at all times.

The position
As a Data Engineer, your primary focus will be designing, building, and implementing scalable data products on our global data platform together with other smart colleagues and to secure ownership and stability of the products.
In the job you will:
- Work closely with your colleagues within a product team to design scalable, efficient, and stable products.
- Work closely with stakeholders from P&O and IT to build and deliver features designed to support to drive business cases and efficiencies within reporting and analytics and other data driven use cases
- Obtain relevant business and system knowledge to convert requirements efficiently to technical design documentation and conceptual data modelling
- Ingest large, complex data sets, automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, , etc.
- Own your data products and track continuous stability and benefits
- Live and breathe “build-once-consume-many” cultures in which we enable others to use our data products as a self-service for maximum value-add
- Work with stakeholders and teams to assist with data-related technical challenges
- Participate in key projects as technical expert
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and you get motivated by challenges as a true problem solver.
- Collaborate and engage with Novo Nordisk platform teams to identify, test and implement best feasible tooling for future data requirements

Qualifications
- Experience with BI Architecture and data modelling
- Experience in working in an agile organization is a plus
- 2+ years’ experience in data engineering and working with cloud-based data engineering tools and big data technologies.
- Experience with extraction and wrangling of data and SQL databases, and some cloud tools (preferably in AWS). An AWS certification is preferred. A good understanding of CI/CD and DevOps methodologies is an advantage.
- Understand the technologies involved in the components that comprise the data lake, data science, ML and AI solutions, and you know how these are integrated.
- Strong programming skills in Python and good knowledge of SQL. Pipeline orchestration and ETL experience is an advantage. You have experience with Linux, Bash scripting and command line operations.
