The position
As Senior Program Controller, you will manage running cost controls processes in the program, including the establishment and maintenance of processes for cost controls and reporting. Close liaison with the AP (Aseptic Production) Expansions global/local projects, engineering partners, contractors and Novo Nordisk work package owners will be essential.
The Senior Program Controller will also be responsible for program cost management, program procurement and program schedule updates and will set the accountabilities of the cost controls team in line with the overall project objectives. You will report directly to the Head of Program Controls.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you need academic degree in Engineering, Business or other relevant area and have at least 10 years of experience in similar position that involved investment projects. pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.
In addition to the above, you need:
As a person, you are an assertive, self-driven individual who excels at presenting complex issues in a way, others easily acknowledge and accept. You have an ability to communicate and collaborate effortlessly with everyone. It is essential to have excellent stakeholder management skills with the personal courage and integrity to take the right decisions.
About the area and department
You will be joining AP Expansions, which stands for expansions of Aseptic Production (AP). The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 50,000 employees.
AP Expansions is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan and built all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our aseptic production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. Facilities designed today which we will still be proud of 20 years from now. AP Expansions has a clearly global approach, where you will be working with multiple sites and cultures across the world.
The Program Controls department is anchored in the Program Management Office which will drive all the program support functions and set directions for the global expansions’ projects in US, China, France and Europe. It includes key aspects of the project execution and critical administrative procedures.

The position
As Senior Program Controller, you will manage running cost controls processes in the program, including the establishment and maintenance of processes for cost controls and reporting. The Senior Program Controller will also be responsible for program cost management, program procurement and program schedule updates and will set the accountabilities of the cost controls team in line with the overall project objectives. You will report directly to the Head of Program Controls.
Main tasks will include:
- Collaborate closely with cost controller team members in Denmark, cost control persons in US, China, France, and Europe sites
- Collaborate closely with Engineering partner
- Interact and engage programme personnel to ensure robust project controls processes are implemented and managed throughout the project life cycle
- Develop, create, monitor, and execute cost controls
- Focus on cost management, scheduling, project resources, progress reports, forecasting, and risk management
- Supplement your business/finance/accounting knowledge with broad technical knowledge within pharmaceutical production, which will help you in your daily work
- Build a broad network in Novo Nordisk with regular contact with many different areas of the business to govern solutions within the projects
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you need academic degree in Engineering, Business or other relevant area and have at least 10 years of experience in similar position that involved investment projects. pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.
In addition to the above, you need:
- Broad knowledge and experience working in capital projects in various roles where several have included: project controls responsibility within cost management, risk management and planning
- Experience in autonomously performing project controls tasks in projects during execution phases
- Track record of defining, developing, and enforcing project controls requirements in contract and procurement processes
- Experience with hands-on execution of project controls tasks involving project controls systems, SAP, planning tools and interfacing to Finance and Procurement functions
- Certified Cost Professional (AACEI) or similar qualification is an advantage
