Department Assistant for Global Medical Affairs

Scientific Publications and Patient Partnerships are looking for an experienced Department Assistant.

Are you just as good at handling stakeholders as you are with budgets, calendars, and planning? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you within Global Medical Affairs.

The position

In this position, you will take up the administrative responsibility for two departments and you will be responsible for:

  • Coordination and planning of activities, meetings, and events
  • Providing general administrative support
  • Prepare and control Line of Business Budgets
  • You will be responsible for various tasks such as contract handling, system management, department meetings and on-boarding of new employees.

The position will be anchored in the Scientific Publications team, but you will also support equally the Patient Partnerships team. As part of the Global Medical Affairs Coordinator team, you will be encouraged to collaborate across teams as well as to take responsibility related to shared activities.

Qualifications

  • You have at least two years of experience with administrative processes, and ideally within budget management.
  • Great proficiency in both written and spoken English and is comfortable with English being the office language, and you are highly skilled within MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • You are a fast learner, and quick to pick up new system skills. You know how to provide great service and thrive in a role as go-to person.
  • Our ideal candidate has a strong customer service mind-set, can independently organize tasks and is well structured with a sense for detail and a good overview at the same time.
  • It is important that you can manage deadlines and can work with multiple and frequently changing priorities using good collaboration skills and a sense of humor.
  • You are a natural planner who knows how to plan your days ahead, and you have a strong quality mindset.
  • In a day-to-day setting you are known as a team-player with a can-do attitude.

About the department

In this position, you will be working with two departments: Scientific Publications and Patient Partnerships, which both are part of a new area in Global Medical Affairs called Medical Portfolio & Digital Transformation. Both teams work cross-functionally and across therapeutic areas in Novo Nordisk. The Scientific Publications team is responsible for publishing scientific research across all drug development phases, and across diabetes, obesity, and other serious chronic diseases. In the Patient Partnerships team, we have an ambition on bringing the Patient Voice as part of our decision making throughout development of our compounds. Both teams are international and high performing with employees working globally and with internal and external stakeholders
